It is a simple process of removing the existing sealed glass units from your existing frames, and replacing them with new sealed glass units with blinds in-between the glass, which have been inserted in-between the glass during the manufacturing stage in our factory. All existing bifolding door frames are suitable to have our blinds inside glass retrofitted into them, as long as the frame can accommodate a sealed glass unit that is at least 24mm or thicker, which all bifolding doors that we know of are able to do. To confirm this we offer free nationwide surveys whereby our surveyors can attend your property on request and check the thickness of the current sealed glass units in your bifold door frames, and well as ascertain the accurate glazing sizes for replacement blinds in glass. The advantages of having blinds in bi fold doors are many, but it first important to consider the issues of conventional dressing options when it comes to bifolding doors:
- Perfect fit blinds - this is a common dressing option for bifold doors, but they come with many issues and we have a skip full of them as testament to that fact, after ripping them out and replacing them with our blinds inside glass. Perfect fit blinds are installed onto the face of your bifold doors, on the face of the glass, and they are fixed using metal clips which dig into and damage the gaskets for your doors.
