Our internal blind windows are available in two different systems of operation, a manual magnetic system, and a motorised electric system.
Our magnetic internal sun blinds are operated manually by hand, each glass unit has two of its own small, discreet magnetic control blocks that sit on the face of the inside pane of glass, that faces inside your home, the two magnetic control blocks can either be on the left or right hand side of the glass unit. The magnetic controls are essentially plastic casings that have magnets inside of them, the magnets inside of the control blocks, connect through the inner pane of glass to magnets that are inside of the sealed units, although the magnets inside of the sealed units are out of view, and concealed inside the perimeter frame of the blind. To operate the blind, you have both the smaller tilt control, and the larger raise and lower control, to rotate the angle of the slats for your internal mini blinds, you simply push the tilt control a few inches up or down, and in turn you can rotate the slats open and closed. To raise and lower the internal glass blinds, you use the larger raise and lower control block, this has a larger control zone, which is roughly 50% of the height of the unit, so you slide the control block up towards the top of the glass unit to lower the blind to the bottom, and you slide the control block towards the bottom of the glass to raise the blind fully to the top. As discussed earlier, both the tilt and raise and lower control are on the same side of the glass as standard, although, we are able to put 1 control on each side on request, for example we could put the tilt control on the left hand side, and the raise and lower control on the right hand side, or the other way around. Most clients prefer to have both controls on the same side, which is why that is what we offer as standard.
Our motorised internal blinds in glass are operated using a battery module that sits on the face of the glass for each unit, and they can also optionally be operated using a remote control. Our motorised internal blinds are powered electrically, the motor that operates the blind is concealed inside the headrail at the top of the sealed unit, so it is out of view, a cable from the motor exits the sealed unit out of the side of the glass and connects to a small transmission pad that will be stuck to the face of the perimeter of the glass, we usually put it in the top left or right hand side of the unit, the battery module then snaps onto the transmission pad, and the transmission pad becomes out of view once the battery module has been connected, the transmission pad and the back of the battery module both have magnets, which allows the battery module to securely connect to the transmission pad. The battery module then provides power to the transmission pad, which takes that power to the motor which is hidden inside the headrail of the sealed unit. The system is therefore powered by the rechargeable battery module, this module lasts several months depending on how much you use the blind, then when it runs out you simply use the micro USB cable we provide to fully chare the battery module again in a matter of hours, then simply reconnect it to the transmission pad. The battery module also has two buttons on it, an up and down button, tapping either the up or down button will rotate and tilt the slats, then holding either the up or down button for a few seconds then letting go will start to raise or lower the blind up and down depending which button you push, you can let go of the button after a few seconds and the blind will continue to raise or lower until it is either fully raised to the top or lowered to the bottom. The blinds can also be operated via an optional remote control, again there is an up and down button on the remote control, the buttons work in the same way as the battery module. The great thing about the remote control is that you can operate several blinds at the same time, you have several channels on the remote control, and for example if you have 5 blinds in the same room, or in a bifold for example, we can programme all of them onto channel 1, so you can operate them all at the same time, then you can use the other channels to operate each blind individually, if you desire.
