Are your existing sliding patio doors suitable for integral blinds?
The great thing about our integral blinds is that they can be retrofitted into existing sliding patio doors. If your existing sliding patio doors have current sealed glass units installed that are 24mm thick or more, then it is possible for our integral blinds to be retrofitted into your frames, the vast majority of existing sliding patio door frames have sealed glass units that are 24mm thick or above. Our integral blinds can be manufactured at a minimum of 24mm thick, that is with a 4mm inner pane of glass, then a 16mm cavity between each of glass, which is the minimum space in order to fit a blind in the cavity, and then finally a 4mm outer pane of glass, with a finished sealed glass unit thickness of 24mm, therefore your existing doors must be able to accommodate a 24mm unit or above. If you are unsure of the thickness of the current glass units in your frames, we can send one of our surveyors free of charge to take accurate glazing measurements, as well as ascertain the correct thickness of the existing sealed glass units.
