Nationwide retrofitting of replacement glass with blinds for french doors
We have a team of expert surveyors and installers that serve the whole of the UK, retrospectively installing replacement glass with blinds into existing french doors. It may be that you currently have french doors installed, and at the time you either did not know that integral blinds existed, or you did not have the budget, whatever the reason, it is possible for us to retrofit integral blinds into your existing doors. We offer free surveys across the UK whereby our surveyors can take the accurate glazing measurements for your doors for replacing them with integral blinds. Our process of retrofitting our integral blinds into your existing doors is a simple one, we remove the sealed glass units from your existing doors, and replace them with new sealed glass units with a blind sealed in-between the two panes of glass, the blind having been sealed in-between the glass during the manufacturing stage in our factory. We cannot reuse your existing glass, we have to provide new glass units, but we can take away and dispose of your old glass units
We can supply new UPVC & Aluminium French Doors
If you are happy with the condition of your current french doors frames, say for example they are still working well, or they are not old enough to warrant replacement, then you can keep your existing frames and we will simply replace the glass. However, if your current french doors are in need of replacement, or if you are having an extension or building work done and require french door frames, then we can help. We supply UPVC, Aluminium and Timber french door frames on a supply only or supply and installation basis, we supply them with or without integral blinds, and we supply them in a range of colours, designs and glass options. We pride ourselves on being able to supply both the french door frames and the integral blinds, this allows you to buy everything from under one roof, which streamlines and simplifies everything, as well as consolidates your warranty with one company

Are your existing French doors suitable for replacement glass for french doors with blinds?
Most existing frames are suitable to have our integral blinds retrospectively fitted, but this is something we can confirm during a free survey, whereby our professional surveyors will ascertain the accurate glazing sizes as well as the thickness of the existing sealed glass units. It all comes down to the thickness of the sealed glass units, you have an inner pane of glass which is both a minimum of 4mm and also 4mm being the standard, followed by a standard 20mm cavity (space in-between the glass), and then a 4mm outer pane of glass, again this is the minimum allowed as well as the standard in the UK, this results in a 28mm sealed unit. With standard sealed units (no internal blind), it is possible to reduce the cavity (space in-between the glass) without causing any issues, for example you can have a 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm cavity with standard double glazing, however when you have a blind in-between the glass, in order for there to be enough space for the blind to fit, the cavity has to be 16mm minimum. From this we can establish that integral blinds are available in a minimum of 24mm units, therefore your existing french door frames must be able to accommodate sealed glass units that are 24mm or above, so basically the glass in your existing door frames must be 24mm or thicker. If you are unsure please do not worry, most doors especially UPVC have 24mm or 28mm units, but this is something our surveyors can confirm on a free surveyÂ

Why have Replacement Glass with Blinds for your french doors?
There are many great benefits of having french doors with integral blinds:
- No cleaning! Conventional blinds are known for being exposed to the elements and therefore get dirty and dusty quickly, and then they are a nightmare to clean. With replacement glass with blinds, the blind is hermetically sealed into the sealed glass unit, this is a watertight and airtight seal, which means that once the seal is applied nothing gets in or out, meaning that your blinds can never get dirty or dusty and never need to be cleaned! Before the blind is sealed into the glass unit, we ensure the blind is clean and free from dirt and dust, therefore by the time it is sealed the blind is immaculate, and even several years after installation, the blind will look as good as it did on the first day they were installed
- Rapid raise and lower! The manual magnetic integral blinds work excellently, you can raise and lower the blinds in seconds using the magnetic control that you can slide up and down the glass using one finger. Although the motorised system is slower, all you have to do is click a button on a remote control to begin raising or lowering the blind, and then go about what you were doing while the operation completes
Why have replacement glass with blinds for your French doors?
French doors with integrated blinds come with many more benefits:
- They do not get in the way! French Doors can often open inwards and conventional blinds can get in the way of the operation of the door, this can be annoying and can also cause damage to your blinds. Our integral blinds exist inside the sealed glass unit, they move with the doors and do not in any way get in the way of the operation of the french doors
- They don't spoil the look and feel of your french doors! French doors are modern, clean and stylish and conventional blinds can spoil this, this is because they can not only look bulky, but also because they take up additional room in front or on the face of your french doors, they also require unsightly headrails to be screwed in above your doors, all of this really does spoil the modern and clean look of your french doors. Our integral blinds do not take up any additional room, they become a part of the structure of the french doors as they exist inside of the sealed glass units, therefore they maintain and even enhance the modern, stylish and clean look and finish of your french door frames
