Nationwide retrofitting of integrated blinds into your existing Bifold Doors
If you already have your bifold doors installed but do not have integrated blinds, but would like to have them installed, we can retrofit integrated blinds into your existing bifolding doors without you having to change your bifolding door frame. It may have been that when you had your bifolding doors installed, you did not know integrated blinds existed, or you did not have the budget for them, but now you wish to have them installed, the good news is we retrofit integrated blinds into existing bifolding doors across the whole of the UK.
It is a simple process of removing the existing sealed glass units from your existing frames, and replacing them with new sealed glass units with blinds in-between the glass, which have been inserted in-between the glass during the manufacturing stage in our factory. We also offer free surveys whereby we can take accurate glazing measurements in order to get the correct sizes for manufacturing your integrated blinds

Are your existing Bifold Doors suitable for Integrated Blinds?
Built in Blinds are available at a minimum thickness of 24mm, that means that the total thickness of the sealed glass unit is 24mm, the standard thickness of our built in blinds is 28mm, which is also the standard thickness of a sealed glass unit in the UK, therefore in the overwhelming majority of cases your existing bifold doors will be suitable to have built in blinds retrofitted into them. Why have bi fold doors with Integrated Blinds UK
First it is important to consider the drawbacks of conventional blinds for bifold doors:
- Due to the size of most bifolding doors, it is not possible to have a single venetian blind, the width of the door is too great to have one blind, it would be too heavy and goes beyond the feasability for venetian blinds. You are therefore left with having several blinds or a blind drilled and fixed in above each door, this looks messy and spoils the clean look and feel of your bifold doors, it also proves a nightmare when wanting to take all over your blinds up and down, it takes forever and the blinds can knock into each other. The blinds are all require a headrail to be screwed into the wall above your bifold door, which looks unsightly, and finally the blinds flap around in the wind when you open your doors
- There is the option of having perfect fit blinds, whereby a blind is fitted onto the face of each glass panel, but these blinds damage the gaskets on your doors, and cause issues preventing your bifolding doors from stacking correctly when opening up the doors. Not only this, they also come with all the issues as any conventional blinds, slats bent and twist, they get scratched, the pleated blinds rip and deteriorate

- No cleaning required! The blinds are integrated or sealed into the sealed glass units that go into your bifold doors, they are hermetically sealed which means they are watertight and airtight and therefore the blinds cannot get dusty or dirty, they are protected by the glass and the seal, this means that you never have to clean the blinds! You simply have to clean your glass every so often as you usually would
- Your blinds cannot get damaged! Conventional blinds for bifiold doors are exosed to the elements such as wind and rain, and they can also be physically touched by humans and objects, this results in them getting damaged over time, slats get scratched and bent and twisted, pleated blinds get holes in the fabric letting light in, we see it all the time. Our integrated blinds are protected by the glass panes on both sides, and by the hermetic seal at the edges, this means that you blinds are protected and will not become damaged, so even after several years, yours blinds will still be in perfect condition as they were on the first day you got them
