Are your existing Bifold Doors suitable for Integral Blinds?
Built in Blinds are available at a minimum thickness of 24mm, that means that the total thickness of the sealed glass unit is 24mm, the standard thickness of our built in blinds is 28mm, which is also the standard thickness of a sealed glass unit in the UK, therefore in the overwhelming majority of cases your existing bifold doors will be suitable to have built in blinds retrofitted into them. First it is important to consider the drawbacks of conventional blinds for bifold doors:
- A common option is perfect fit blinds, each of your individual doors has its own perfect fit blind, the blind is attached to your doors through small brackets that are pushed into your gaskets. Perfect fit blinds take up additional space on the face of your bifold doors, and therefore spoil the clean and sleek look and feel of your doors, they also cause issues as they prevent the bifold doors from stacking together properly.
