Bifolding Doors with Blinds in Glass
Bifolding doors are an excellent option when it comes to larger openings, as not only do they allow large full height glass panels with slim aluminium profiles, allowing minimal sightlines, but they also give you almost complete access to the opening when the doors are fully opened, they fold away to one side of the opening together in a vertical stack, only a small section of the opening remains obstructed by the stack of the doors. Bifolding doors are hinged together and open and close by sliding on runners at the top and bottom of the frame, this makes opening and closing the doors very easy and smooth. If you have the space and the budget it is well worth having a large opening on an external wall, having a large opening with an exterior door such as a bifold looks far better than simply having a plastered and decorated wall, and also has many other benefits. Having a large opening allows you to have excellent views of your outdoor space, lots of natural daylight, and a large opening for access into your outdoor space.Â
Sliding Doors with Blinds inside Glass
Sliding doors are another excellent option when it comes to exterior doors, they traditionally were more common in smaller openings, whereby you would have two doors, one being fixed and the second door sliding in front of the fixed door, allowing you to have access to half of the opening, but now they are very popular with the largest openings as they allow you to have wider and taller glass panels than bifold doors, as they operate on rollers along a track at the top and bottom of a frame, and not hinges – this also gives you slimmer sightlines and uninterrupted views. Our sliding doors are available in UPVC, Aluminium and Timber, and we offer them with or without blinds inside glass. They allow large full height glass panels which gives you excellent views and natural daylight, but when the doors are open you have less access to the opening than bifold doors, for example with a 2 door sliding door, you only have access to 50% of the opening.

French Doors with Blinds Inside
French Doors are an extremely popular choice, especially with smaller openings, we personally prefer French Doors over Sliding Doors when it comes to smaller openings, because French Doors are a pair of mirrored doors on hinges that open in or out and away from the frame, this gives you full access to the opening. French Doors also have glass panels that extend most of the length of the door frame, this gives you full length glass panels that let natural daylight flood in, that give you great views of your outdoor space, and that allow you to completely open up the doors for great access to your outdoor area on those sunny days or when you are having friends and family over for get togethers and celebrations. Our French Doors are available in UPVC, Aluminium and Timber, and are available with or without our Blinds in Glass. Our french doors come in a massive range of colours and glass options, and excellent security features to keep your home safe and secure.
Single Doors with Blinds in Glass
Single doors need little explanation, it is a single door on a hinge that can open inwards or outwards, they are very handy on elevations of the house where external wall space is limited, but entry/exit on that elevation is desired or needed, it allows you to have a door that gives you entry and exit to and from your home while taking little space on an external wall. Single doors are available in UPVC, Aluminium and Timber, like all of our exterior doors, they have excellent security features and are energy efficient. It is possible to half glazed single doors, as well as fully glazed single doors, this allows natural daylight to flood into your home, as well as gives you a view of your outdoor space, we feel if you are restricted to having a single door, then you should at least explore the option of having a half or full glazed single door so that you can have natural daylight entering, and also giving you views of your outdoor space. Our blinds in glass are perfect as they allow you to still have excellent control over light and privacy.

Are your existing exterior doors suitable to have Blinds in them?
In order for your existing exterior doors to be suitable to have blinds in glass retrofitted, they must be able to accommodate sealed glass units that are 24mm thick or above, this is because the narrowest width we can manufacture our blinds in glass in, is 24mm, the standard thickness of our sealed units being 28mm. This basically means that the current sealed units in your existing exterior doors must be 24mm thick or above, which the overwhelming majority will be. If you are unsure, please remember we offer free surveys whereby one of our surveyors can visit your property and survey your doors to ensure they are suitable, as well as take accurate glazing measurements.Â

Why have exterior doors with blinds inside glass?
There are many great benefits of having glass exterior doors with blinds inside:
- No cleaning! the blinds are hermetically sealed inside the double or triple glazing unit, therefore they can never become dirty or dusty and never need to be cleaned for the lifetime of the sealed unit!
- Can't become damaged! They are sealed inside the double glazed unit, and protected by toughened glass on both sides, therefore the blinds cannot become damaged. Conventional blinds become scratched, bent, twisted, and broken from everyday exposure to humans, pets and objects
- Very easy to operate! you can operate and raise and lower your blinds in glass in seconds, with 1 finger, using the small magnetic control block, they are far quicker and easier to operate than conventional blinds
- They do not get in the way of the operation of your doors! they exist inside the sealed glass units that are fitted into your exterior doors, therefore they do not get in the way of the operation of your doors. Conventional blinds that are fixed onto the face of your doors, or on the wall in front of your doors get in the way of your doors, and can even stop them from operating properly
