It is a simple method of removing the existing sealed glass units from your existing doors, and replacing them with new sealed glass units with blinds that are sealed in-between the glass during the manufacturing stage in our factory. It is not possible to reuse your existing glass, we have to supply new glass units, however you can keep your existing frames, we can however take away and dispose of your old sealed glass units.

Integral Blinds can be retrofitted into any window or door that can accommodate a sealed glass unit that is 24mm thick or thicker, which is the vast majority of the existing french doors in the UK. The standard thickness of a sealed unit that goes into windows and doors today are 28mm, which is also the standard thickness of our integral blinds, it is the standard thickness of a sealed glass unit in the UK. However, older frames including older french door frames used to have narrower sealed units, as narrow as 20mm in thickness, which would not be suitable for having integral blinds retrofitted.
